Missional
St. Teresa of Avila is reported to have said, “Christ has no body now, but yours. No hands, no feet on earth, but yours. Yours are the eyes through which Christ looks compassion into the world. Yours are the feet with which Christ walks to do God. Yours are the hands with which Christ blesses the World.”
As followers of Jesus, we are invited to join in God’s mission to love, bless, and save the world. We are invited to share our time, to share our wisdom, to share our voices, and to share our giftedness to proclaim the good news of God’s redeeming love for all creation. The specifics of that mission have varied across the centuries and has we learned during the pandemic, we are discovering new ways to be a part of God’s mission each and every day.
As we listen to God in prayer, as we encounter God’s Word in Scripture, as we are nurtured by the community of God’s people we grow deeper in our relationship with God and in our understand of how we can join in God’s work in the world.
